57WALLY WORLD
Sittin' around with nothing to do,
The bars all closed at quarter to two.
The stores are dark, they closed at nine,
They can just kiss me where the sun don't shine!
I try to avoid what I'm forced to admit,
The same ol' place, the same ol' shit!
A "SuperCenter" so they say...
Open twenty-four hours a day.
Except for Christmas and Turkey Day, too,
There's no service for me or you.
If they're so "super", then tell me this...
Why, after ten, no "Customer Service"?
When requesting for help in "Jewelry",
She shrugs and says, "I haven't a Key".
Over in "Pets", wanting some fish,
"Customer Assistance?" Boy, do I wish!
There are plenty of stockers in every aisle,
None of them pleasant, not even a smile.
Then there's the cleaners with all the noise,
Blocking off everything from "Produce" to "Toys"!
They can't speak English, they don't mutter a sound,
No, "Sorry, excuse me." They just mow you down.
The racket is enough to make your head ache,
You begin to wonder how much more you can take!
The "Deli," too, is closed up tight,
How can they say they're open all night?
"Prices Are Falling", it's just a ploy,
To suck in every little girl and boy.
The dressing rooms are closed till morning at nine,
If it don't fit, you'll be standing in line,
Getting an exchange or doing a return,
Why do I shop here? When will I learn?
